Angel paintings and classical statue art

Much of Kayla's work begins with stone. She paints classical statues, angels and gods in careful shades of gray, then breaks the stillness: a cascade of neon drips behind a weathered angel, gold geometry framing a pair of wings, a castle built into the crown of a cracked marble bust.

Wildlife paintings of the American West

A bison breathing through a cloud of dust, a bear looking straight at you, a white horse bowing its head, a tiger stepping into a beam of light. Kayla paints animals with weight and presence, usually in black and white, so the eyes do the talking.

Portrait and dreamscape paintings

Portraits that feel like they are staring straight through you. A face tilted back as one stream of cobalt pours over it; an astronaut holding a spiral galaxy in one glove.

Fan art: Middle-earth, Star Wars and more

Characters from Middle-earth, a galaxy far away and beyond, painted by hand with the same approach as the rest of the studio: gray tones, one bolt of color, and gold where it counts.

Murals painted on real walls

Walls instead of canvas. Each mural is designed for the room it lives in and painted on site, usually in grays and white with one hit of color where it counts.
